Silk Painting for Fine Artists with Natasha Foucault
Seascapes • Cityscapes • Landscapes • Still Life On Silk
In Silk Painting for Fine Artists, Master Silk Painting Artist Natasha Foucault combines her love of travel, photography, teaching and fine art as she creates fine art silk paintings. Seascapes, cityscapes, landscapes and still life are covered in this colorfully rich workshop from Galli Publishing. Natasha explores her design layout concepts as well as special techniques including creating glass-like imagery in her still life work that has been featured in a variety of magazines and shows.
Natasha will work from a series of photographs demonstrating how to take images from the world around us and transform them into exquisite fine art paintings that rival the original in detail, color, and composition. Working with Jacquard Red label silk dyes she uses a variety of techniques to achieve the results as shown. Adding salt to create texture, using water and alcohol to blend and create watermarks, and applying gutta in white and black in fine line accuracy, she produces stunning results across a body of work.
Natasha draws inspiration for her work from her travels to her home country of Russia, her love of Venice, Italy, her weekends and teaching in Mendocino County in Northern California, and her love of fine Napa Valley Wine. You can be sure this will be a colorfully rich workshop loaded with imagery and inspiration.
